Inside Quivira This Summer: The Community Calendar Residents Are Actually Booking

The Pacific end of Cabo San Lucas used to send residents outbound for a good night out. This summer the direction reversed. Between the Candlelight concert series settling into Amakiri Botanical Garden, Q Life's weekly programming filling the mornings, and a St. Regis on final approach at the top of the property, the center of gravity for Quivira homeowners has moved inside the gates.

Here is what is on the calendar, what is quietly changing, and how to read the next ninety days if you already own here.

The Candlelight nights that put Amakiri on a different map

Fever's Candlelight series is the kind of programming Quivira residents historically drove to Mexico City to see. That equation flipped this summer. Candlelight concerts have wowed audiences at iconic venues in Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, and Fever hand-picked Quivira for its inaugural performance in Los Cabos.

The July slate at Amakiri Botanical Garden:

• Tribute to ABBA — July 27, 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
• Unforgettable Boleros — July 28, 6:30 p.m.
• Very Mexican — July 28, 8:30 p.m.
• Tribute to Selena — July 29, 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Tickets start at MX $400 and each program runs about 65 minutes. The scale matters more than the ticket price. Each event has a capacity for 350 people, with the possibility to grow in the future if demand warrants it. For context, that is a smaller room than most corridor resort ballrooms and it puts the stage inside a working botanical garden rather than a hotel lobby. If you have been to a Candlelight show anywhere else in Mexico, the Quivira version is the one your out-of-town guests will remember.

What Amakiri Garden is quietly becoming

The concert series is the visible half of a shift. The other half runs deeper.

For years, Amakiri Garden has represented the natural heart of Quivira Los Cabos, a space that celebrates the serenity, beauty, and balance that define life in this exceptional community. Now, this beloved landmark is preparing to take its next step forward. In 2026, Amakiri Garden will evolve into Amakiri Wellness Garden, a renewed sanctuary dedicated exclusively to Quivira Real Estate owners.

Read that sentence twice. A garden that has hosted resort guests and homeowners together is being redrawn as an owners-only amenity. For anyone weighing the practical value of ownership here versus staying as a Pueblo Bonito guest, the arithmetic just changed. The venue that concerts are premiering inside is the same venue that will, before the year is out, be a residents-only wellness environment.

The Q Life week most owners underuse

The community's lifestyle program is the plumbing behind the calendar. It is also the piece newer owners often miss because it sits on a separate portal.

A representative week of Q Life bookings drawn from mid-July looks like this:

Alongside the fitness slots, the dining side of Q Life runs themed evenings on a rotation: Asian Night on Saturdays, Sunday Brunch, and Urban Tacos midweek. The program is a space designed for residents to enjoy events, experiences and services that enhance their time at Quivira, letting them stay active, explore new activities and connect with the community.

The point is not the class schedule itself. The point is that the community has built a booking layer that assumes residents want a reason to stay on property Monday through Sunday. If you are not RSVPing, you are paying for an amenity you are not using.

The dining rotation worth planning the week around

Restaurants inside Quivira are frequently written up as vacation-week itineraries. That framing is wrong for residents. The right framing is a rotation you cycle through so nothing gets stale over a long stay.

• The Market at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach — a brick-walled, open-floor complex featuring a classic deli, regional Mexican cuisine, eclectic Asian fare, a 1950's-style diner, brick-oven pizzas, crepes, fine chocolates, and Perfect Balance, a wellness bar with vegan protein smoothies and superfood bowls. Best used for casual weeknights and mixed groups.
• LaFrida at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach — the signature candlelit dining room named for Frida Kahlo, with a menu that runs daring and eclectic. The special-occasion booking.
• Peninsula at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica — a gourmet restaurant featuring regional Baja cuisine, known for panoramic views of the sea, sky and sand, with fresh juices, toasted coconut pancakes at breakfast, and crispy chocolate clams at lunch.
• Siempre at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica — a circular indoor-outdoor room offering Mediterranean cuisine accented with Mexican flavors, best known for its Sunday Champagne Brunch.
• Cibola at Montecristo Estates — a tucked-away restaurant inside a stylish Tuscan hideaway offering fresh Baja cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• The After at Quivira — a beautifully appointed, urban-themed sports bar with nearly a dozen flat-screen TVs.
• Steakhouse at Quivira Golf Club — the post-round default.

Two homeowner economics worth remembering when you build the week: Quivira homeowners enjoy 25% off at the Quivira Golf Club and 20% off dining at the Steakhouse at Quivira Golf Club, and homeowners save 20% on food and beverages at bars and restaurants across the Pueblo Bonito hotels in Cabo San Lucas. A four-person dinner at LaFrida twice a month pays for a fair chunk of your HOA over a year if you actually claim the benefit.

The St. Regis clock, and what it means for your morning walk

The hotel that has been on the horizon since 2017 has a real opening window. First announced in 2017 and now on track for summer 2026 after multiple delays, the 120-room luxury resort with 60 residences sprawls across 33 acres of the exclusive Quivira development on the Pacific Coast of Cabo San Lucas.

For daily life on property, three things shift the moment the doors open.

First, dining density. The property's three signature dining venues will range from a specialty restaurant and a beachfront grill with all-day dining to an al fresco poolside restaurant with fresh small plates and crafted cocktails. The specialty room is the one that will draw reservations from outside the gates. The signature restaurant will be helmed by acclaimed Mexican chef Carlos Gaytán, who earned a coveted Michelin star in 2013 for his Chicago-based Mexique. A Michelin-decorated kitchen inside the community is a first for the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas.

Second, wellness capacity. Guests will have access to a fitness and wellness center, swimming pools, saltwater lagoon, luxury cabanas and a destination Spa for resort guests and locals alike. The spa's design for locals as well as guests means residents get another booking option that is not a drive to the corridor.

Third, and this is the honest tradeoff, traffic on the internal roads and along the beach path will increase. If your usual sunrise walk currently ends at the northern point of the property, the summer opening will change the composition of who else is out there at 6:30 a.m. Get your favorite bench now.

A quiet summer week, mapped

If you are down for eight nights and want the community-first version rather than the corridor-first version, the shape looks something like this:

1. Sunday — Siempre for the Champagne Brunch, then an afternoon at the pool.
2. Monday — Pilates at the Q Life Rooms, dinner at The Market with kids or guests.
3. Tuesday — Golf at Quivira, Steakhouse after, with the 20% homeowner discount claimed at the check.
4. Wednesday — Urban Tacos night through Q Life.
5. Thursday — Peninsula at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica for the sunset seating.
6. Friday — LaFrida, one of the six or so proper occasion dinners in the community.
7. Saturday — Asian Night, then Cibola on a second visit if the group is larger.
8. Sunday — Amakiri, either for the wellness morning or, if the timing lines up, a Candlelight concert to close the week.

Not a single reservation on that list requires leaving the property.

That is the argument. Quivira in the second half of 2026 is being programmed as a self-contained cultural and wellness environment, not as a residential appendage of a resort. Homeowners who read the calendar that way get value out of what they already own. Homeowners who do not will keep driving the corridor for what is now sitting a five-minute walk from the front door.
